The chapel was painted in the spirit of late Baroque illusionism. The author of the frescoes from 1750 - 1752 is Anton Schmidt, a painter of Austrian origin who worked in the mining towns of central Slovakia during the Baroque period.
The vault features beautiful scenes from the Old and New Testament, an allegory of the Church, a choir of angels - musicians, figures of Church Fathers, and the four Evangelists with their attributes. On the lower part of the side walls, there are grisaille paintings of St. Anthony of Padua and St. Francis Xavier. The chapel is dedicated to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

During the restoration of the chapel in 2002-2003, one of the old technologies was used - cleaning with white bread crumbs. During the restoration work, a unique find was discovered near the entrance to the sacristy. A container with a mummified heart of unknown origin was hidden in a stone opening.

In the glass casket of the side altar, dedicated to St. Joseph with the Child Jesus, lies a wax-and-wood figure of St. John Nepomuk, the patron saint of the Koháry family.
