One of the most valuable treasures in the museum's collection is the marquetry. It consists of baroque furniture made up of four pieces: a table, two stands for candlesticks, and a mirror. All surfaces of the furniture are covered with tortoiseshell, inlaid with mother-of-pearl, tin, brass, silver, and precious stones.
The individual pieces feature figurative decoration with ancient motifs and rich ornamentation. This rare baroque set was completed in 1719 by Johann Mann from Augsburg. Even at the time of its creation, this type of furniture had a very high value, making it a true work of the highest category.
